Wedding Photographer
Hey, I’m Alex. I studied music in school and was completely sure I’d spend my life on stage with a guitar. Instead I picked up a camera, and ten years later I’m still chasing the same feeling: that moment when a room full of people is moving to the same beat.
I started this small operation in Washington DC in 2018, moved to Los Angeles in 2021, and now split my time between both coasts. I’m 33, I still still ask myself what I want to be when I grow up… and I hope I never fully figure it out. Curiosity is the whole point.
When I’m not shooting, I’m playing guitar (the rock star dream never fully died) or motorcycling by the beach, ideally with no plans.
My Style
Part music, part movies
A wedding has a rhythm. There’s the slow build of getting ready, the hush before the ceremony, the crescendo of the first kiss, and the full volume chaos of the dance floor. Music taught me to feel those shifts before they happen, to know when to stay quiet and when to turn it up.
Movies taught me the rest. Nacho Libre, Juno, 500 Days of Summer, anything by Studio Ghibli or Wes Anderson. Those films showed me that color isn’t decoration, it’s pure mood and emotion. It’s why I spend as much time grading your photos as I do taking them. My work blends the funk of film with the sharpness of digital, and the result looks less like a wedding album and more like the movie of your life.
Working With Me
Part director, part fly on the wall.
I’ll ask you to run through a field in formal wear, slow dance in the middle of nowhere, or try the idea that sounds ridiculous for thirty seconds. Some of your favorite photos will come from those thirty seconds. The rest of the day, I disappear into the crowd and catch what actually matters: the tears during the toast, your grandma owning the dance floor, the laugh you didn’t know anyone saw.
One photographer. Me. Every time. I shoot every wedding myself and edit every single image myself. No associates, no handoffs, no stranger showing up on your wedding day. The person on your first call is the person beside you taking photos at the altar and the same person who delivers your gallery.
We’re probably a great fit if you care more about how the day felt than whether every hair was in place, you’d rather laugh than “look natural”.
My Philosophy
You care more about how the day felt than how it looked. Smudged mascara and a wrinkled dress are proof you had the time of your life.
You’d rather laugh than “look natural.” Real laughter beats a practiced smile every time.
You’d say yes to the weird idea. The best photos usually start with “this is going to sound strange, but...”

Alex was fantastic!!! I wanted to work with him after seeing his website, as I loved the color/quality/lighting of his photography. He’s extremely professional and great at directing shots in ways that make you feel comfortable while also getting the best lighting and angles. We were impressed at his efficiency at directing everyone during our wedding (no easy feat to herd cats!) and we especially loved the candid shots he took of us all!
We had so many compliments on the style of photography, especially the coloring and contrast in our photos. Working with him was very easy from start to finish. We had an initial 20 minute phone consultation, then follow up with specific details, and on the day of he came by a few hours earlier to scout out all the best spots at our venue.
