Crista and Heather's wedding at Winding Creek Farm in Loudoun County, Virginia was the kind of day that reminded me why barn weddings in the Virginia countryside hit differently from anything else. The landscape out there in late afternoon light, the open fields, the old barn, the hills in the background — it all creates a natural warmth that doesn't need much help.
Their ceremony under the floral arch was intimate and genuine. You could feel how much the people in that space cared about these two, and Crista and Heather themselves were completely present the whole day. No nerves, no stiffness, just two people who were ready to be married and showed it in every moment.
The reception in the barn was exactly what you'd want from a venue like this. Great energy, a packed dance floor, and the kind of loose, joyful atmosphere that only happens when everyone in the room is genuinely happy to be there.
